In the more than 110 years of our company history, we have developed from a small handicraft business in Solingen to an owner-managed medium-sized special machine builder and technology partner with a network of specialized companies around us.
With our core companies of Wichelhaus KG, Enilution GmbH as well as WicoPro and the further partnerships in the group, this network offers a "full service offer" to our customers all over the world. Be it for complex projects in the field of automation, engineering, textile machine construction, special machine construction, IoT solutions or bending technology.

From our two locations in Solingen and Karlsruhe, we have built up a network of representatives and contacts around the world. We follow our customers wherever they need us. In addition to our focal points in Europe, China, the USA and the Middle East, we are able to work for you with our specialists at (almost) any point in the world, depending on the project.
Increase in space
With the purchase of another hall in Solingen, we triple our production area.
New structure
We found Enilution GmbH, adapt our internal structures and thus create the preconditions for further growth of the group.
Expansion of the production area
We open our third plant in Solingen.
Establishment of WICO Pro
With the integration of HK electronic into our group, we set up WICO Production GmbH at the Karlsruhe site.
New development
We present our completely new development of a textile machine of the type Vario Line Jigger and install it at the University of Applied Sciences for Textile Design in Mönchengladbach for training and development purposes.
Expansion of textile machinery
We expand our textile machine construction and become one of Europe's leading suppliers of innovative industrial jigger dyeing systems.
Integration Kista
We integrate the technical division of the Wuppertal-based machine manufacturer Kista into our group.
Service partnership
We become service partner of Suhner Automation GmbH and set up the service location in Solingen.
Growth
With the purchase of a further production area in Solingen, we double our surface area.
Takeover
Jörg Demtröder takes over Wichelhaus & Co. The core business is strategically expanded with the establishment of the business area of special solutions in the field of industrial automation.
International
Wichelhaus achieves international success with the patented grinding machine.
Foundation
August Wichelhaus founds his company to develop, build and sell a razor blade grinding machine.
